Spending Based Rewards
Definition
Cards that offer incentives to charging items on the card are known as reward cards. With these cards you are usually issued points or miles for every dollar you spend on the card. If the card is offering airline "miles" be forewarned that one reward mile does not equal one actual mile traveled. They are just points usually redeemable for a ticket of a certain price. Depending on the card the rewards can range from airline tickets, hotel nights, cash back, gifts certificates, gasoline, etc.
